Bayley will be heading to the infamous Spa-Francorchamps

McElrea Racing junior Bayley Hall, will be on his way to Brussels, Belgium on Sunday night directly following competing in Round 5 of the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup at the Bend Motorsport Park next weekend. He has been selected to drive with AF Corse in a Ferrari 488 GT3 for two consecutive track days following the Spa 24 hour. This is a multitude of firsts for Bayley. Being his first time driving a GT3 car, first time driving a car Overseas, as well as his first-time visiting Europe.

‘I am unbelievably excited to soak up every second of this experience. It’s certainly been a while since I’ve been overseas and to get the chance to drive a bucket list track such as Spa, is surreal, I honestly can’t get the smile off my face, and I’m so grateful to everybody involved in making this opportunity possible.’

Bayley’s test days follow the completion of the Spa 24 Hour, which is certainly an event that Bayley aims to compete in during his future career.

’This is a massive foot in the door to my European GT racing dream and to add this on my racing resume is something I’m very thrilled to do. 24 hours of driving flat out around Spa will certainly lay some rubber down for our track days, I cannot wait to get on track.’

This track day operated by AF Corse will provide Bayley with a chance to work with some of Europe’s most accomplished mechanics, engineers and team managers. AF Corse has almost won every title possible with wins at the 24 Hour of LeMans, 24 Hours of Spa, Asian LeMans series, FIA GT titles, LMS Titles and taking out all three titles in FIA WEC two years in a row.  Having the opportunity to step into a car such as this is certainly valuable for Bayley’s journey learning to become quickly adaptable, and also important to begin developing connections for future opportunities.
