2019 coming to a close with Last Two Rounds of GT-1 Australia continuing to be a Success.
A massive year is coming to end and a huge amount of learning experiences and “firsts” came about during this year. With the last two rounds of GT-1 being some of Australia’s greatest little racetracks being Wakefield park and Winton Motor Raceway meant for another two new tracks to learn quickly and get up to speed as soon as possible. With a huge step up from recent QTCC rounds at the start of the year, driving the Marc I Focus around these tracks was exhilarating and extraordinary. To keep with the pack is also been a significant boost in confidence and driver ability from many learnings that come my way.
With two Hour long races on Sunday’s the track time is substantial and gives a great recording on how the car is feeling and challenges the mental, physical and racing ability to keep consistent and fast pace for long periods of time. It has been great working in the workshop and at the track with the GJ Motorsport team and support from all the sponsors, especially HFI that has helped me all the way to experience new tracks and learning’s for almost every second weekend of my previous few months. With huge opportunities driving at Bathurst and Gold Coast 600 in the Marc I Focus means for great experience on the resume and hoping for bigger opportunities to arise in the future.
